WASHINGTON, DC – A sweet fundraiser for presidential candidate Dr. Ron Paul is now on Ebay. Chocolatier Eric Johnson has handcrafted a 15-pound chocolate-sculpted of Presidential candidate Dr. Ron Paul that is being auctioned on Ebay through February 5.
In keeping with the candidate’s beliefs about the environment, Johnson, who is also a noted chef, chose organically produced and fairly traded chocolate to craft the likeness of Dr. Ron Paul’s head and neck. The chocolatier spent 125 hours tempering and sculpting the 38 pounds of single bean chocolate to create the chocolate head of the candidate.
The chocolate sculpture will be fun to look at it, but even more fun to eat. Made from chocolate grown on one of the finest chocolate plantations in the world and using the purest ingredients possible, the bust is not only a work of art, but also a gourmet treat.

In addition, Johnson is creating gilded chocolate Ron Paul dollars that will be available for sale with proceeds going to support the national campaign and local grassroots efforts.

“My goal is to generate publicity and support for Dr. Paul through this creative endeavor. I intend to use this project as an expression of support to inspire others to get involved however they can,” explained chocolate artist Johnson.

The chocolatier is well known for his truffles (www.krishon.com), a favorite among discerning chocolate lovers. Each Krishon truffle is made to exacting standards, using precisely balanced ingredients and only single bean, fairly traded chocolate. To achieve perfect creaminess, he churns his own butter from organic cream bought from the region’s farms.
